INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has announced Cooper Sports Complex in Springfield, Missouri, as the host site of the GLVC Men's and Women's Soccer Championship Tournaments from 2026 to 2028.
After two years at Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex in St. Louis, the semifinals and championship games for both tournaments will move to the championship field at the Lake Country Soccer Complex. The quarterfinal matchups will continue to be hosted by each of the top four seeds.
GLVC Commissioner Jim Naumovich said, “The
Cooper Sports Complex provides us with a quality venue with the amenities needed for our event and will serve as a great predetermined site for our women’s and men’s tournaments. We look forward to partnering with the Greater Springfield
Area Sports Commission and Lake Country Soccer to bring these GLVC Championships to the community.”
The Cooper Sports Complex is situated within the 127-acre Cooper Park development and includes Lake Country Soccer, Cooper Tennis Complex, Killian Sports Complex, and Cooper Youth Baseball Complex. Since opening in the 1980s, the complex has become one of the largest sports developments in the Springfield-Greene County Park Board system and plays host to more than 50 regional, state, and national tournaments annually.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the GLVC Soccer Championships to Springfield for the next three years and showcase everything our community has to offer student-athletes, coaches, and fans. Springfield is a proven destination for championship events, and we’re proud to partner with Lake Country Soccer to deliver an outstanding experience both on and off the field,” stated Greater Springfield Area Sports Commission Executive Director Lance Kettering.
Lake Country Soccer Executive Director John Markey added, “Lake Country Soccer is excited to host two of the nation’s premier NCAA Division II conference championships. The GLVC represents the highest level of Division II soccer competition, and hosting this championship is exactly the type of elite event Lake Country Soccer
Complex was designed and built to welcome.”
All six matches at Cooper Sports Complex will also be streamed live on the GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN). The action can be viewed on GLVCSN.com or the many GLVCSN apps available on Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as OTT platforms on Roku, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Apple TV.
The 2026 GLVC Soccer Championship Tournaments will kick off on November 1 at campus host sites, with the remainder of the events taking place on November 5-8.
