MARION, Ill. – Indianapolis and Drury secured their spot in the double elimination format after the first day of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Baseball Championship Tournament, from Mtn. Dew Park in Marion, Illinois.
Fifth-seeded Illinois Springfield and sixth-seeded Maryville earned first round victories, while third-seeded Indianapolis and fourth-seeded Drury avoided defeat in the single-elimination portion of the bracket.
Thursday’s matchups are set to start the double elimination portion. #1 Missouri S&T and #4 Drury will start the day at 11 a.m. CT, followed by No. 2 Missouri-St. Louis and No. 3 Indianapolis at 2:30 p.m., with the losers of the two matches facing off to avoid elimination at 6:30 p.m.

- QU’s Fandre and Joe Huffman homered with Isaiah Fudge going 4-for-4, scoring three times

- UIS jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning with Johnny Wendling lacing a two-run single.
- DU answered with four runs in the bottom of the first with Carter Wambach hitting a two-run shot.

- UIS answered too late with a passed ball bringing a run home and a Corey Boyette solo homerun finalizing the scoreline.
