EAST PEORIA, Ill. – McKendree University hoisted its fourth Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women's Soccer Championship trophy on Sunday, defeating fourth-seeded Lewis University, 1-0, at Corwin Clatt Stadium in East Peoria, Ill.
McKendree secured its first Conference title since the 2020-21 spring season when they defeated Southern Indiana, 3-2. The Bearcats have won all four of their league crowns in the past eight seasons.
With the win, McKendree (16-1-3) earned the league's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament, marking its seventh-straight appearance in the postseason event. The Bearcats will find out their opponent on Monday night's NCAA Selection Show at 6:30 PM ET.
