INDIANAPOLIS –The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released its All-Region teams, naming six Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) student-athletes to All-Midwest Region teams, including Missouri-St. Louis's Caitlin Bishop earning the All-Midwest Region Player of the Year.
Missouri-St. Louis led the way with three honorees including the Midwest Player of the Year Caitlin Bishop. Joining Bishop from the Tritons is outside hitter Alayna Santel and libero Skylar Weaver, who were both named to the First Team.
Rockhurst earned two honorees with outside hitter Sarah Pyle, and middle hitter Delaney Hope earning First Team honors. Susanna Beretti of Quincy was the sixth GLVC standout named, with the outside hitter also being named to the First Team.
The D2CCA awards are nominated on and voted on by the region’s sports information directors.
