INDIANAPOLIS – Four Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) volleyball teams have earned a bid to the 64-team 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship, it was announced Monday night. Missouri-St. Louis earned the top seed and host responsibilities and will take on eighth-seeded Indianapolis. Quincy earned the sixth seed and Rockhurst garnered the seventh seed to round out the remaining field for the GLVC in the Midwest Region.
The GLVC Tournament Champion Missouri-St. Louis (26-4) garnered the highest of the four Conference schools, hosting the Midwest Regional, earning the top seed. Missouri-St. Louis will face eighth-seeded Indianapolis (20-11) in the opening round in a rematch of the GLVC semifinal. The Tritons are making their sixth consecutive postseason appearance, ninth overall. For Indianapolis, this is their 11th appearance, and first since 2019.
Sixth-seeded Quincy (24-6) will be playing in its fourth overall and consecutive NCAA postseason, facing off against third-seeded Ferris State (24-7).
Rockhurst (21-10) earned the 7-seed in the region and will be participating in their 11th consecutive and 18th overall trip to the NCAA postseason. The Hawks will face the second-seeded Ohio Dominican Panthers (26-5).
Also playing in the regional will be 4-seed Wayne State (24-5) vs. 5-seed Findlay (23-5).
All matches will be played at the Mark Twain Building in St. Louis, Mo. With the first round being played on Thursday, Dec. 4, the second round on Friday, Dec. 65 and the regional final being played on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Eight teams were selected from each of the following eight regions: Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, Southeast, South Central, and West. All eight eight-team regionals will be played at on-campus sites. Regional competition will be single-elimination, best three-of-five-set matches and will not include a third-place match. The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the finals, Dec. 11-13, at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Competition at the finals site will be single-elimination; best three-of-five-set matches.
