GLVC Releases 2026 Men’s Wrestling Championship Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released Tuesday the bracket for the 2026 GLVC Wrestling Championship Tournament. Regular Season Champion and reigning champion McKendree earned the No. 1 overall seed, while last year’s runner-up, Upper Iowa gleaned the second seed. The top two seeds both earn a first round bye. The tournament is being held in Quincy, Ill., at Pepsi Arena on the campus of Quincy University. The tournament is a one day event on Sunday February 15.
 
The six-team tournament is seeded 1-6 based on Conference winning percentage with ties broken pursuant to GLVC Handbook Section 1 and 16. Maryville was tabbed as the 3-seed with Indianapolis claiming the 4-seed. Hosts Quincy earning the 5-seed and Drury rounded out the field as the 6-seed.

 Match 1: #4 Indianapolis vs. #5 Quincy | 10:00 AM CT
  • Indianapolis went 4-6 overall and 2-3 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • Quincy went 9-8 overall and 1-4 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Greyhounds beat the Hawks, 28-9, in Quincy on Jan. 22.
 
Match 2: #3 Maryville vs. #6 Drury | 10:00 AM CT
  • Maryville went 9-9 overall and 3-2 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • Drury went 2-11 overall and 0-5 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Saints defeated the Panthers 23-15 on Jan. 17 in Springfield.
 
Match 3: #1 McKendree vs. Winner of Match #1 | 11:30 AM CT
  • McKendree went 14-5 overall and 5-0 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Bearcats defeated Indianapolis 19-19 +1 on Feb. 5 in Lebanon, and defeated Quincy 25-20 in Quincy.
Match 4: #2 Upper Iowa vs. Winner of Match #2 | 11:30 AM CT
  • Upper Iowa went 6-5 overall and 4-1 in GLVC action during the regular season.
  • The Peacocks defeated Maryville 28-13 on Jan.16 in St. Louis and Drury 38-7 on Feb. 5 in Fayette.
 
The losers of Match #1 and Match #2 will face off in the Fifth Place Match at 1:00 PM CT and the losers of Match #3 and Match #4 will face of in the Third Place Match at 1:00 PM CT. The champions will be crowned between the winners of Match #3 and Match #4 as they take center stage at 2:30 PM CT for the title of 2025 GLVC Wrestling Champion.
