INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis claimed the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championship on Sunday at the Athletics & Recreation Center on UIndy’s campus.
The Greyhounds earned their first title since 2019 and first under head mentor Brad Robinson, who took over the program in 2023.
UIndy finished the weekend with 145.5 points, which was 28.5 points ahead of runner-up Lewis (117). The next closest team was the Lincoln in third with 93.5 points, while Missouri S&T (85.33) claimed fourth and Southwest Baptist (68) rounded out the top five teams. Maryville’s Mitchell was named GLVC Freshman of the year, while Greyhounds’ mentor Brad Robinson was recognized by his peers as GLVC Coach of the Year for the first time in his career.
In addition, Southwest Baptist was named the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award winner, while 13 student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior were also recognized as the sport’s GLVC James R.
