2018 GLVC Swimming & Diving Championship

The Great Lakes Valley Conference is set to host the fifth annual GLVC Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, Feb. 7-10, 2018, at the Crawfordsville Aquatics Center on the campus of Crawfordsville High School in Crawfordsville, Ind., located an hour west of Indianapolis.

Ten men's teams and nine women's squads representing 10 member institutions will vie for the 2018 GLVC Championship. Nine GLVC schools currently sponsor both men's and women's swimming and diving, including Bellarmine, Drury, Indianapolis, Lewis, Maryville, McKendree, Missouri-St. Louis, Truman State, and William Jewell. Missouri S&T currently fields a men's squad only.

This year's GLVC Championship meet will again be streamed live and free of charge on the GLVC Sports Network at GLVCSN.com. 

Drury's men's squad won its fourth GLVC Championship last year, while the Drury women won its third league title in 2017.

Last year on the men's side, Drury scored 867 points in the win, followed by Missouri S&T (677.5), Indianapolis (547.5), Truman State (392), Lewis (326), William Jewell (285), McKendree (275), Missouri-St. Louis (262), Bellarmine (128) and Maryville (50).

Drury's women's team scored 894 points in the win, while Truman State netted a runner-up finish with 790.5 points. Indianapolis (562.5) was third, followed by William Jewell (406.5), Lewis (353), Quincy (225), Maryville (182), Bellarmine (178), Missouri-St. Louis (164.5), and McKendree (106).  

Both Drury squads earned runner-up finishes at the 2017 NCAA Division II Championships, as multiple Panthers took home a National Championship title both individually and as part of relay teams.

Five other men's squads placed in the national meet, including Indianapolis in 11th, Missouri S&T in 14th, McKendree in 25th, followed by Lewis in 27th and Truman State in 28th. The William Jewell women were 28th, while Indianapolis' women's squad was 30th and Truman State placed 31st.
