ST. LOUIS – The top-two seeds advanced to the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Women’s Lacrosse Championship, as No. 1 Maryville University and No. 2 University of Indianapolis secured semifinal victories at the Maryville Lacrosse Field on Friday.
The top-seeded Saints and second-seeded Greyhounds will square off on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT for the GLVC title. Maryville defeated UIndy 18-16 when the two teams met in St. Louis on April 13 to extend their win streak to 12. This will be Maryville's third consecutive title game appearance, while Indianapolis appears in their fifth.

- MU got the ball rolling in the first period, taking a 5-1 lead.
- MU did not look back the rest of the game, outscoring MWSU in every period, scoring as many as six goals in the third period.
- MU’s Marissa Zeno scored a team-high five goals, two of which came in the first two minutes of the game.
- Sam Pruitt led the MWSU in scoring, netting two of the three goals.
- MU bested MWSU in shots on goal, having 17 on target to the Griffins’ 7.

- After UIndy and RU ended the first period tied 2-2, the Greyhounds would outscore the Hawks 10-7 the rest of the game.
- UINDY’s Olivia Bladon scored a season-high eight goals out of 11 shots.
- Kaylee Lary led RU with four goals and picking up two ground balls.
- UINDY got to work on the ground, snagging 16 ground balls to RU’s 10.
